It's a must here in puerto Rico otherwise you will have high blood pressure all the time and eventually give yourself a heart attack. People here are chill and take things slow.
For people like us from the city we are used to fast things. When we got here we had to get our utilities turned on so we went to the water department and waited 2 hrs then when we were being helped it took 30 minutes. Then we went to the electricity department. There we waited 1 hour but.... They closes for lunch so we had to leave out, they closed the office and returned and hour later. Thank goodness we had no#s. then we waited another hour and a half then once we were helped we where there half hour then because we have to pay a down payment to get our services on for both utilities we had to get in the same line people were in to pay their bills. FYI this is for the whole town so we waited in line another 15-20 minutes for each.
So we spent about 6 hrs turning on 2 utilities. Then it took 2 days for them to turn them on. So being patient was so important. There are lines every where! So don't be in a rush or have other plans because you never know how long you will be. Always have something to read and someone to talk to :-)
